Clark became a Daily Planet reporter which means there is no point of Season 9. Since, Clark will be living in Metropolis, the show’s title “Smallville” is no more. Although Clark can use his superspeed to come back and forth but there is no need to continue the next season. Clark has all powers except flight which means that he hasn’t embraced his destiny yet. Once he knows how to fly, he can beat down Doomsday in series finale. What do you think? |

I agree but perhaps with the end of Smallville a show called Metropolis is born…..

I think they could do more seasons. But I agree it would be better to just reinvent Smallville into a different show. Like say Justice League. Then they could start introducing all the DC villains through out the series. I think what ever they do they need to stop a lot of this soap opera crap and get back to the comics combined with realism type show.

there might be a season 9 and that might be the last season. But its still not clear since there are a few episodes being worked on for this season.

I would like them to make more seasons but I know they will not. They said about 2 years ago that this year would be the last season. It is sad :’( but I don’t see how they could make more cuz of the storyline that it is following like you said (btw I loveee season 8 so far and I can’t wait till tomorrow’s episode!!). Recently the NEW producers said they were hopeful for a season 9, but it was not likely. It is said that Clark might be able to fly by the season’s end, but that is not a definite.

I agree because Smallville is already running out of material.
I’ve always been a fan of Smallville, but they are trying too hard to put things into the right place.

I don’t think it will end in season 8 because he still lives in the Barn but it might.
