 In the episode,”Committed” when Lois and Clark were tied to the lie detector, why was Clark electrocuted when Lois said she had never cheated on him? Was she in love with him even when she was with Oliver, so she considered dating Oliver cheating? |

He got electrocuted because he asked if she had cheated on the person she is marrying and since she wasn’t marrying anyone it was a lie and he got electrocuted.
She is not dating Oliver anymore so she is not cheating with Oliver.

I think that was one of those “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” questions that, unless answered very specifically to say, “Well, we’re not a couple, so technically I can’t cheat on him,” it would inevitably come out as a lie.
She answered that first question under the auspices of them being a couple which, in and of itself, was a lie to begin with. She didn’t come clean with them not being a couple until after Clark got zapped.
On a side note, I laughed when she said “yes” to the “Do you love him” question and Clark reflexively cringed. Ha ha. Awesome.
